We continue our review of the results achieved by the ecoENERGY Retrofit - Homes program upon the completion of its third year. This program, which provides financial grants to incent Canadian households to undertake certain prescribed energy conservation renovations, was discontinued on its third anniversary on March 31, 2010. I hope this is not a bad April Fools joke.  I don't think it is. An announcement yesterday, dated March 31, 2010 indicated that the ecoENERGY Residential Retrofit program is ending. According to the ecoENERGY Retrofit web site, March 30, 2009 sees a 25% increase in the amount of individual retrofit grants for a limited time. This is the long awaited details of the $300 million increase to the program announced on January 27, 2009 Federal budget for which no details were provided at the time. A short tip today (don't worry....tomorrow starts a rather lengthy series of articles on the replacement of our front exterior door).
