In our last article yesterday we reviewed different aspects of our new Rio Bath Lift, model number H605, from Invacare.
It is a very new model. How new? Well, the unit’s label indicates it was manufactured in May 2014.
Yet the product label on the back indicates the manufactured month and year of April 2013 as shown in the picture below.
Assembling the Rio H506 Bath Lift
Here is our experiences, with pictures, assembling the Rio Bath Lift in case it helps you in your efforts to assemble this home medical device for yourself.
There are only about a 1/2 dozen or so separate components to put together inside the box.
Vertical and Horizontal Frame Assemble for the Rio Bath Lift
The vertical and horizontal frames are easily assembled and kept together with a pair of orange clips as shown in the series of pictures below:
Rio Bath Lift Seat and Backrest Assembly
Worried how to assemble the Rio Bath Lift’s seat? What about the backrest of this home health care product? Don’t be.
The backrest already comes assembled, as shown in the picture immediately below.
You simply need to attach the backrest to the metal frame which connects the backrest with the bath seat.
And now the following pictures show how to assemble the Rio H605 Bath Lift’s seat; once again, simply insert the metal frame which connects the backrest and the bath eat into the back of the seat.
Putting the Frame and the Backrest / Bath Seat Together
Next you place the now connected vertical and horizontal frame into the clean and dry bath tub.
Then you place the back of the backrest for the Rio H605 Bath Lift onto the vertical frame, being sure to place the backrest all the way to the bottom of the horizontal frame.
The key is to be sure that the vertical single metal rod coming out from the back of the Rio H605 Bath Lift’s backrest is securely placed onto the metal piece perpendicular (90 degrees) between the two main horizontal metal frame pieces. It is this component which will raise and lower the bath seat of the Rio Bath Lift.
Once done you have the now fully assembled Invacare Rio H605 Bath Lift assembled in your bathtub .
Again, with any product assembly, be sure to read and refer to the manufacture’s installation and usage instructions which come with the product.
So, that’s our experience with the Rio H605 Bath Lift from Invacare.
What questions do you have that we can answer? What is your experience?
