Yesterday we wrote not one but two articles about our studio room at Disney’s BoardWalk Villas deluxe resort.
Today you can read about our adventures in the World Showcase area of the Epcot theme park at Walt Disney World.
Breakfast With The Disney Princesses
This was a first for us. Norway’s pavilion at Epcot’s World Showcase in Walt Disney World hosts a part buffet and part family style table service breakfast.
This character greeting meal includes a picture with a particular Disney Princess (today it was Belle! ).
In addition, throughout the meal various other Disney Princesses roam around to give out autographs and have their picture taken with you, including Snow White, Ariel (yes, that Ariel as well as:
- Sleeping Beauty
This was pretty cool if I do say so myself.
Return To Room
After the Breakfast with the Disney Princesses we returned to our room at BoardWalk Villas so I could drop off the brand new picture of Belle, my oldest daughter and myself to prevent it from being bent, etc. On the way back in rained. So one of the stores we snuck into was the BoardWalk Bakery.
It was here that we purchased two deserts to bring back to our room for the next couple of evenings.
Here we purchased these two scrumptious to eat later in the room.
While in the room drying off I spent a little time on the phone with a friend.
Next, we were off back to Epcot now that the rain had passed.
Strolling Through Epcot’s World Showcase
As we strolled through the World Showcase part of Epcot we saw some of the wonderful Disney character shrubbery such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse:
We stopped to chat with Mary Poppins who, as we all know, is practically perfect in every way!
We went to the Canada pavilion and watched the wonderful film about Canada hosted by Martin Short!
After spending some time in the House of Mouse to purchase some needed sunglasses (Tinker Bell, no less) with the sun back out, a couple of T-Shirts and some things called Vinylmation Park and Urban surprises for some friends, we then went to seek out the Mexican Pavilion.
By the way, we have it on good authority that the Snow White collection of Vinylmation characters are coming out this Friday April 27, 2012. So perhaps good things do come to those who wait?
Mexican Pavilion at Epcot’s World Showcase
While waiting for the O Canada movie short we talked with a family and the mother had a very nice pendant clearly from Disney World. They indicated they just purchased it from the Mexican Pavilion. Hence, Mexico here we come!
We found a couple of sparkling jewelry items at very reasonable prices inside.
We then went on the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros boat ride. It was wonderful. Here are some pictures taken during that gentle boat ride. Part of it reminded me of It’s A Small World ride in Magic Kingdom:
Other parts included clips of Donald Duck and the Three Caballeros:
We then went out and split Nachos and had a beverage each. I was told by a friend that the frozen Margarita was delicious, even a tradition of sorts when ever visiting Disney World, and it was extremely yummy! .
Our last stop was in Epcot was at the American Pavilion for the American Experience movie, etc. which was quite well done.
Back At The BoardWalk
Our very last stop was at the Confectionery store.
We noticed some delicious looking Mickey Mouse shaped cookies yesterday so we wanted to pick up a few for the room; and we did just that:
Thus ended a very busy, delicious and satisfying day at Epcot’s World Showcase from our room at Disney’s BoardWalk Villas.
