So far in this how-to series, we looked at the installation of the Moen Branbury Pivoting Toilet Paper Holder with the brushed nickel finish which we purchased at The Home Depot as part of its Renew and Redo Your Bath event and began the installation.
Today we get the new bathroom accessory installed into the potty room of our en suite.
Now, here once again are the different parts from the packaging which one uses to install either end of the toilet paper holder.
For us, we only needed one pair of the butter fly anchors. Why? Well, as fortune would have it the end on the right in the picture below was right in line with a vertical wooded stud. So, for that end we simply drilled guide holes into the wood stud and directly inserted the screws.
It was the pair of holes from the original toilet paper holder that we used a pair of the butterfly anchors. Notice in the above picture that the red plastic pin seems to be sticking out from one of the anchors. This is the before picture. You gently but firmly use a small hammer to tap on the red pin to cause it to push open the ends of the butterfly anchor on the inside of the drywall.
In this next picture above you can see (hopefully) that the red pin is further into the opening of the top butterfly anchor indicating that it has does its job.
Once both drywall anchors are in place, then the anchor bracket is screwed into the anchors.
And now each of the two pivoting toilet paper holder ends are installed onto the anchors.
First the right side of the pivoting toilet paper holder is installed using the provided Allen key to insert the very small screw within the bottom of the end to hold it securely onto the wall anchor.
Then the other side is installed in the same manner.
And, just like that we have the Moen Branbury Pivoting Toilet Paper Holder installed on the bathroom wall by the toilet.
Now, of course I am not finished. I need to address the two small holes in the wall just inside the end on the right from the previous toilet paper holder. I will address those next time.
