Number 279, Check Along Window Frames For Air Leaks. The idea here is simple, just like the prior money savings heating tips which have come before.

On a cold day, simply run your bare hand along any and every window frame in your home. If you feel cool air entering your home with your hand then you have an air leak which is costing you money through higher home heating bills.

If you find one, write down its location so you can collect the locations of all your home’s air leaks along your window frames and plan a course of action to seal them.

This is a typical area for cold outside air entering the house. We have written numerous articles on where we found air leaks in our home. Simply use the Search field over on the right and enter the words ‘air leaks’ to find them.

INSTALL COST – Free INSTALL COMPLEXITY – Simple
