Ionic Clean Review – Clean Windows Without Using Chemicals

We wrote previously about the 2nd and 3rd place prizes. Today we wanted to tell you about our experience using the 1st place prize, the Ionic Cleaning exterior washing system. Here it is:

This product is unique because it allows one to wash windows without having to use detergent / chemicals and without having to dry the windows yet leaving the windows streak free. How? It is because of what the instruction manual calls a de-ionizing technology which purifies the water from your garden hose by removing “…the minerals and impurities what would normally remain on the surface and cause spots as the water dries.”

It is very simple to put together the brush onto the extendable telescopic pole, this pole to the blue hose attached to one end of the Ionic Clean cylinder and then once outside to attach the other end of the Ionic clean cylinder to the garden hose. You can see it all put together in the picture below just before I use in, including the telescopic pole extended.

Now, washing windows is not my idea of a good time. Is it yours?

However, I was pretty excited to try this out. Not having to use any detergent or chemicals to clean the windows saved me money as well as the environment and my time.

It has two settings, one which allows the water to flow through the unit without using the filter and the other, well, using the filter. So I followed the instructions to clean the debris and loose dirt off of the windows using unfiltered water and then use the filtered water to clean up. That way the life of the filter is maximized.

So, how did it do?

Well, here are the BEFORE pictures of the sliding door and of the main window area from our walkout basement.

While it is hard to show dirt on a pane of glass, compare the above pictures to the two new pictures below which were taken AFTER I used the Ionic Clean product and let the water dry without using anything to manually remove the water.

Can you tell the difference? I can. The AFTER pictures certainly look like the windows are much cleaner, especially when one is inside our basement looking out through the windows to the back yard … no streaks at all.

This, is a pretty cool product.
