Yesterday we showed you the installation of the anchors for the ends of our double towel rack in our en suite bathroom.
Today, we complete the job.
Now, for this double bath towel rack model, the ends are secured to the metal anchoring hardware by way of a tiny screw in the bottom of the towel rack end which is screwed through the use of a small Allen Key.

You need to make sure that the towel rack end is flush against the wall, otherwise the screw will miss the metal anchor located on the wall and the end will simply fall to the ground when you let go. It might take a few tries; I know it usually takes me a few tries to get it right.
Once the right end of the towel rack was secure, I placed the two towel bars into the secured end as I placed the left end of the towel rack onto its wall anchor.
This was followed by taking a few minutes to use the same Allen Key to secure the left end of the towel rack to it’s anchor as I missed the first couple of times.

So, how does it look? Am I done?

Nope, not quite. As the above picture shows I need to get the drywall repair compound out and fill in the holes made by the anchors for the original placement of the double towel rack. If you look in the above picture you can see these holes just above the lower of the two towel bars, one just to the outside of right end and the other just inside the left end of the towel rack.
Until next time.

Forget repairing your old ones. I found a company called Nifty Nob that has invented a mounting plate that requires no clips or set screws! I installed it with a hand held screw driver in minutes and it has never moved again! An invention that truly solves an age old problem.
