Just a quick reminder today that time is running out for you to enter our spring EZ Snap exterior solar blinds / shades contest.
You can enter once per day (which means you can enter only once today).
The contest ends at midnight tonight.
This is a really, really great energy conservation product. We have written about how we use in on our own large south facing windows in our series of articles from last year which you can access here: EZ Snap Installation Series.
Yes, this is the same product which reduced the reading on our digital temperature gauge by a full 15 degrees Fahrenheit. Lower temperature inside the house will of course cause the air conditioner to run less often to save us money (and to indirectly generate polluting emissions) through lower electric utility bills in the summer. Yet, with these installed on the outside we can still see very clearly to the back yard while inside the Family Room.

Yes, we liked the product so much that Cath, my wife, had me place it on the outside of our French Doors which open out to our deck in the backyard.

So, hurry; time’s almost up.
If you are reading this after May 31st, 2009 yet are still interested to see if this product might be useful for your home’s east, south or west facing windows, or your skylights, or even your RV, simply select the link to the series above to see how we installed it.
Or you can select this link directly to the EZ Snap exterior window shades site.
We will announce the winners of our contest as soon as we have verified that they met the eligibility requirements. If they didn’t we will have to select alternate winners.

What a wonderful product, too bad it can only be purchased through in the US. You would think that they would have something similar in Canada

Hi Violet,
I’m not sure where you saw that it can only be purchased thru the U.S.
It is a Canadian company. If you use the links above you can access their web site directly.
I hope this clarifies things.
