Short note today.
Back on February 23, 2009 we wrote about the results of our ‘E’ or follow-up energy audit as part of our participation in the ecoENERGY Residential Retrofit program.
The results of this energy audit indicated that we were to receive $390 ecoENERGY grant from Natural Resources Canada .
The date of this second energy audit was February 11, 2009.
On Wednesday May 13, 2009, approximately 3 months or 12 weeks later we did indeed receive the ecoENERGY check.
How much was it?
It was the $390.
This then also answers the question whether we would be grandfathered in terms of the mid-March 2009 announcement which saw a full 25% across the board increase in the ecoENERGY grant amounts.
We did not.
Timing is everything, or in this case, nothing in life.
At least we did receive the Federal Government’s ecoENERGY cheque within the prescribed approximate 12 month time frame from the second or follow-up energy audit.
If I remember correctly, it should be another 2 months or so before we receive the same amount from our Provincial Government for their matching share of the program.
