Daily Home Renovation Tips

Through a variety of circumstances we have ended up with three weeks which we will not use at Sheraton Vistana Resort.

We have stayed here many, many times in the past. Each unit includes 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, sleeps up to 8, full kitchen, eating area, living room, etc. The resort has a lot of swimming pools and is right across I4 from Disney World.

SANIDRY DEHUMIDIFIER

Last year we started to use the SaniDry Dehidifier in our home to reduce the humidity levels during the summer which in turn allowed us to feel comfortable at higher temperatures with dryer air and thus reduce our electric bill from using less air conditioning.

Previously we used two smaller dehumidifiers which ran continuously and still did not keep humidity levels as low as the one SaniDry.

We are huge fans of having an Energy Efficiency Evaluation (i.e. energy audit) conducted on any home, regardless of size or age. We learned much from our energy audit under the ecoENERGY Residential Retrofit program.

Our 21 year old home's EnerGuide rating is 70 (out of 100) from our energy audit report. We can achieve an EnerGide rating of 80 by undertaking all of the energy audit's recommendations. What is your home's EnerGuide rating? If you don't know, shouldn't you?
