Just a very quick note today to remind you about our Home Depot tool rental contest.
By accessing the contest entry form located in our initial contest announcement article, you can become eligible for a chance to win a $200 gift card good towards the rental of any tool or equipment offered by The Home Depot’s tool rental folks.
Not sure what they offer? You can access their site here to see the many different products available for rent, although the actual equipment and tools may vary from one store location to the next.
We have this hedge in our backyard of 12 foot high cedars that we need to trim back by 4 or more feet … I think I’ll need a small chain saw for that one myself!

Remember the rules of the contest:
- one entry per person / IP address combination per day
- person, 18 years of age or older, providing winning entry must reside in the United States or Canada, which is where the gift card can be used
- chances of winning based on the number of eligible entries received
Return to our site every day to enter the contest. The more entries you make (but remember, one per day … try to enter more than once per day and you may find that all of your entries are disqualified
) the greater your chances of winner.
So, add the contest entry form, accessible from the first link above, to your favourites to return each day. Make it part of your morning routine, just like a cup of your favorite coffee and the sports section of the morning paper.
And, of course, we hope that while you are on our site you visit the many different home renovation, maintenance and energy conservation articles we have written about our experiences.
You might, for example, find some of the more than 240 home energy conservation ideas to reduce your electricity, home heating, home cooling, cooking and water heating related utility bills you are not currently doing in your own home that could start to use.
Or, our experiences with the mass produced solar charged lawn mower, or the solar exterior window shades, etc. may be of interest and help to you.
As you know, most of our articles have lots and lots of pictures to help you understand what we did and what might work for you.
