In Part 3 we presented some pictures of the parent Robin feeding the new, just days old, baby Robins.
In this article, we present to you two short videos showing the feeding of the Robins by the parent.
How did we come to obtain these videos?
Well, would you believe that they were made with a camera? No, not a video camcorder, but a regular digital camera.
They were taken by our youngest daughter who received the digital camera for her birthday. When we bought the digital camera for her, well, we have to be honest. All we cared about was:
- It was on sale
- It was less than $200
- It was pink. Yes, that’s right … pink!
We didn’t even know that it could take videos. It didnt’ even enter our minds to think about that.
And, you won’t believe this. I still don’t. Not only did this on same every day digital camera take a great short video of the parent Robin feeding the babies, it also contains sound!! Unbelievable. I am sooooo jealous. All I have is a 7 year old digital camera to take pictures of our home renovations. Our daughter’s on sale digital takes videos with sound.
So, without further adieu, here is the first video. Remember to turn up the sound so you can get the full impact of the feeding activity
So, what do you think? Wasn’t that amazing! Mother Nature at it’s finest. What a nice distraction from our home renovation and home energy conservation activities.
Here’s the second video taken with the same digital camera:
There. What a really cool event to be part of. And, right under our noses, um, er, well right under our deck.
Next time, we will show more pictures of the baby Robins, this time a little more grown up.
