We wrote last week our first article on أشرنا في الاسبوع الماضي اول مقالة عن CFL light bulbs Cfl والمصابيح الكهرباءيه and shared a very nice visually appealing and interactive web site called ويشارك جدا لطيفة وجذابة بصريا موقع تفاعلي دعا SpringLight CFL Springlight cfl . This web site had pictures of various rooms in a typical home and all the different areas where light bulbs tend to be used. وكان هذا الموقع صورا لمختلف الغرف في المنزل والنمطيه جميع المجالات المختلفة حيث والمصابيح الكهرباءيه المستخدمة تميل الى ان تكون.

So, it got me thinking about what areas of our house contained incandescent (high energy usage) type of light bulbs that were candidates to be replaced. بذلك ، حصل لي التفكير في ما هى المجالات التى من بيتنا الواردة ساطع (استخدام الطاقة العالية (نوع من المصابيح الكهرباءيه التي كانت الى استبدال المرشحين.

I am all about saving money, as my financial background will attest. انا كل شيء عن توفير المال ، كما بلدي الخلفية المالية وسوف تشهد.

As well, I have children (early 20’s). كذلك ، لقد الاطفال (20 في وقت مبكر لل). I want their world and their (if we are so blessed) children to grow up in a world that does not have environmental issues because I was too near sighted and lazy to do at least simply things to reduce my home’s consumption of non-renewable resources like oil, natural gas, water and so on. وأود أن على العالم و(اذا كان لنا ذلك بارك) الأطفال من النمو في العالم ان لا يكون للقضايا البيءيه لأنني كنت ايضا بالقرب من النظر وكسلان على الاقل للقيام بكل بساطة امور بيتي للحد من الأستهلاك غير الموارد المتجدده مثل النفط والغاز الطبيعى والماء ، وما الى ذلك.

So, I walk around the house on the weekend. ذلك ، أمشي حول البيت وفي عطلة نهاية الاسبوع. And, look what I found. وننظر إلى ما وجدت. The billiard table that my youngest daughter and her boyfriend had been using when he was over last weekend. البلياردو فان الجدول بلادي ان اصغر البنات وكان صديق لها باستخدام عندما كان على مدى عطلة نهاية الاسبوع الماضي. What about it’s lights? وماذا عن انها الاضواء؟

Geeeze, I never thought about those because I personally am a terrible billiard player (my wife’s father beat me 7 to 1 during the New Year holidays!) and I am sufficiently busy with the various home renovation and energy conservation projects around the house to have the luxury of time to play. Geeeze ، انني فكرت أبدا لأن تلك انا شخصيا لاعب بلياردو رهيب (والد زوجتي فازت لي من 7 الى 1 خلال العام الجديد والاعياد!) وانا مشغول بما فيه الكفايه مع مختلف تجديد المنزل ومشاريع حفظ الطاقة حول البيت لنملك ترف الوقت لتقوم به.

So, here is what I did. ذلك ، هنا هو ما فعلت. I obtained 14 Watt CFL pot light type of energy saving light bulbs that have a 7 year warranty, are made Lead Free, and are to last 8,000 hours per the packaging (7 to 10 times the life of non-CFL bulbs). لقد حصلت على 14 واط cfl قدر ضوء النوع من الاقتصاد في استهلاك الطاقة والمصابيح الكهرباءيه التي لها ضمان 7 سنوات ، يتم خالية من الرصاص ، والى الماضي هي 8000 ساعة في التغليف (7 إلى 10 مرات حياة غير cfl اللمبات). I used them to replace the current very old bulbs in the lights over the pool table.  The picture above shows the 3 lights on the left with the old bulbs (which were very old….installed by the prior owner) while the 3 lights on the right are using these new CFL’s. كنت منهم ليحل محل لمبات قديمة جدا في الاضواء خلال الجدول للسباحه. الصورة اعلاه يبين 3 اضواء على اليسار مع اللمبات القديمة (التي كانت قديمة جدا…. تركيبها من قبل المالك) في الوقت الذي الاضواء على 3 الحق في استخدام هذه cfl 'sالجديدة.

Notice in the picture above two things. أشعار في الصورة اعلاه امرين. First, you can see the old light bulbs protruding from the lights on the left while you cannot in the lights on the right. اولا ، يمكنك ان ترى القديمة والمصابيح الكهرباءيه الابراز من الاضواء على اليسار بينما انت لا تستطيع في اضواء على الحق. This means less glare for the player. وهذا يعني اقل وهج لاعب.

Second, there was no reduction in clarity or brightness. ثانيا ، لم يكن هناك وضوح في الحد من أو السطوع. And, as I have learned, this particular model is not the brightest of this particular brand line; rather, it was the middle of the brightness level called ‘Bright White’. و، كما تعلمت ، هذا نموذج معين ليس هو اذكي من هذا الخط وخاصة العلامه التجارية ، بل انه كان من السطوع المتوسطة المستوى ودعا 'بيضاء مضيءه'. This is an excellent, I think, area for CFL’s. هذا ممتاز ، كما اعتقد ، للمنطقة للcfl. Which my wallet will appreciate! بلدي المحفظه التي سوف نقدر!

Oh, and if our future grand children ever ask me “Grampa, what did you do to help conserve energy in the past?” I will be able to tell the truth that at least I tried to do my part, even if it was a little at a time. أوه ، واذا عملنا في المستقبل من أي وقت مضى الاطفال الكبرى يطلب مني "grampa ، ماذا فعلتم للمساعدة على حفظ الطاقة في الماضي؟" اننى سوف تكون قادرة على قول الحقيقة ان ما لا يقل عن حاولت ان تفعل ، من جانبي ، حتى لو كان قليلا في وقت واحد.
