January 16th comes and goes with no installed door. ويأتي كانون الثاني / يناير السادس عشر لم يذهب مع تركيب الباب. Why? لماذا؟ Well, early the morning of the 16th Dave called and stated that it was snowing too heavy and the forecast indicated a lot more snow before the day was over. حسنا ، في وقت مبكر من صباح السادس عشر دعا ديف وذكر انه كان ثقيلا جدا والاثلاج التوقعات تدل على وجود الكثير من الثلج قبل يوم قد انتهت. So, we agreed to try again on January 27th, a Sunday. ذلك ، وافقنا على المحاوله مرة اخرى السابع والعشرين من كانون الثاني / يناير ، يوم الاحد. Dave suggested the date as his first opening. ديف واقترح تاريخ افتتاح اول له.

January 27th, a Sunday, arrives. كانون الثاني / يناير 27th ، يوم الاحد ، يصل.

The phone rings. الهاتف الحلقات. It’s Dave. ومن ديف. Who? من؟ Well, this time the installer is different from the one who was running late and never bothered to call back on January 8th. حسنا ، المثبت في هذه المرة تختلف عن واحد من أواخر تدير وازعجت ابدا الدعوة الى العودة في الثامن من كانون الثاني / يناير.

And, true to Dave’s word, he shows up with another installer. و، ديف الحقيقي لكلمة ، وقال انه يظهر آخر مع المثبت.

It takes 7 hours, not the maximum 2 hours we were told. ويستغرق ذلك من 7 ساعات ، وليس الحد الاقصى لساعات 2 وقيل لنا. Anyway, I digress. على أية حال ، أنا استطرادا.

They seem to know what they are doing; very professional. ويبدو انهم يدرون ماذا يفعلون ؛ جدا المهنيه.

Dave and his assistant were very professional. ديف ومساعدة مهنيه للغاية. Cleaned up the mess throughout the installation process. تنظيف الفوضى في جميع انحاء عملية التثبيت. He even didn’t mind when I wanted to take pictures! حتى انه لم الاعتبار عندما اردت ان تأخذ الصور!

Notice in the picture below the remnants of fibreglass installation. أشعار في الصورة ادناه بقايا تركيب الألياف الزجاجيه. This is an indication that the old door’s installation, while possibly state of the art 20 years ago, could stand some improvement. وهذا دليل على ان الباب القديم للتركيب ، في حين ان الدولة ربما من الفن قبل 20 عاما ، يمكن ان نقف بعض التحسن.

To insulate door frames, and window frames for that matter, it is preferred to use insulating foam sealant rather than fibreglass. لعزل الباب الاطر ، وأطر النوافذ لهذا الامر ، وهو يفضل استخدام العزل رغوه مانع التسرب بدلا من الالياف الزجاجيه. This is because the foam sealant can find all of the little cracks and mould right into the space that needs to be insulated. وذلك لأن رغوه مانع التسرب يمكن ان تجد كل من الشقوق قليلا والحق في قالب الفضاءيه التي تحتاج الى المعزوله. It comes out of a spray can with a long nozzle to help point the spray. انها تأتي من الرذاذ يمكن لها تاريخ طويل في الخرطوم للمساعدة على نقطة الرذاذ.

It will expand a few minutes after it is applied so expect to need to trim off the excess prior to applying the crown molding frame around the door frame. لانه سيوسع بعد دقائق قليلة على ان يطبق ذلك نتوقع ان الحاجة الى تقليم الزاءده من قبل لتطبيق الاطار حول التاج الصب الباب الاطار.

So, now we have no front door, yikes? حتى الان ليس لدينا اي الباب الامامي ، yikes؟ Just kidding, the new door frame and door are in the truck. مجرد المزاح ، والباب الجديد وباب الاطار هي في الشاحنه.
