Yesterday we wrote about our efforts to apply weather stripping to the enclosure of our electrical panel. امس كتبنا عن الجهود التي نبذلها لتطبيق الطقس تجريد الى ضميمه من منتجاتنا الكهرباءيه الفريق. This was because the energy audit we received in the late fall indicated a massive amount of cold air entering the house from that area. والسبب في ذلك هو اننا لمراجعة حسابات الطاقة وردت في اواخر الخريف تدل على وجود كمية هاءله من الهواء البارد يدخل البيت من تلك المنطقة. This is bad news in both the winter and in the summer as it causes heated air to leave the home in the winter and cooled air to leave in the summer causing the heater and air conditioner, respectively, to work harder and longer than they should costing us money and consuming non-renewable resources. هذه هي الأخبار السيءه في كل من في الشتاء والصيف لانها اسباب سخونه الهواء لمغادرة المنزل في فصل الشتاء وتبرد في الهواء لإجازة الصيف مما ادى الى المدفاه ومكيف الهواء ، على التوالي ، الى العمل بجدية أكبر وأطول مما ينبغي لها ان التكاليف لنا المال وتستهلك الموارد غير المتجدده.

We left off yesterday with two issues. توقفنا امس مع هاتين المسألتين. The first issue is that the door on the right of the electric panel enclosure does not close flush with the enclosure frame as shown in the pic’s below. المساله الاولى هي ان الباب على حق الفريق الكهربائي ضميمه لا الاحمرار وثيق مع ضميمه الإطار كما هو مبين في ادناه للموافقة المسبقه عن علم. The result will be quite frankly a waste of time and effort to apply the weather stripping if this gap remains. وستكون النتيجة بكل صراحة مضيعه للوقت وجهد لتطبيق الطقس تعرية وإذا كان هذا لا تزال هناك فجوه.

The second issue was that there was a noticeable gab between the two doors when they are closed as shown below. اما القضية الثانية فهي ان هناك نشاط ملحوظ في الثرثرة بين البلدين عندما تكون ابواب مغلقة كما هو مبين أدناه.

What solution did we come up with. ما الحل ونحن لم نخرج. Well, a simple one.  I like simple. وايضا ، مسألة بسيطة. أحب البساطه. What we did was to apply the vertical weather stripping on the left side of the right hand door slightly protruding beyond the door. ما فعلناه هو تطبيق الطقس تجريد العمودي على الجانب الايسر من اليد اليمنى من الباب قليلا الابراز وراء الباب. Not, much mind you; just enough so when the two doors would be closed together the vertical weather stripping on both doors would connect. ليس هناك الكثير مما الاعتبار لكم ما يكفي لذلك عندما يكون من شأنه ان اثنين من الابواب المغلقه الى جانب الاحوال الجوية تجريد الراسي على حد سواء يربط الابواب.

Not only did this deal with the gap between the two doors, but it also kept the door on the right side flush with the enclosure frame. ولم يقتصر التعامل مع هذه الفجوه بين اثنين من الأبواب ، ولكنه ايضا أبقوا الباب على الجانب الايمن الاحمرار مع ضميمه الاطار. A win-win for sure. يكسب لعلى ثقة من ذلك. Notice the black weather stripping between the two doors in the picture below. أشعار الاسود الطقس تجريد اثنين من بين الابواب في الصورة ادناه.

The result is that no longer do I feel any cold air rushing out from the electrical panel enclosure. والنتيجة هي انه لم يعد يشعر اي هل الهواء البارد من التسرع بها الفريق الكهرباءيه ضميمه. What a difference. ما الفرق.

And, remember that weather stripping is important in both the winter and the summer. وتذكر ان المهم هو تجريد الاحوال الجوية في كل من فصلي الشتاء والصيف. Remember your high air conditioning bills from last year? تذكر تكييف الهواء الخاص بك فواتير عالية من العام الماضي؟ Don’t wait like I did. لا تنتظر مثل فعلت. Check your home for air leaks and apply weather stripping or caulking as appropriate. افحص الصفحه الرئيسية لتسرب الهواء وتطبيق الطقس تجريد او سد حسب الاقتضاء.
