Yesterday’s article linked to another post outlining the sequence of events which occurred while we waited for our new front door. الامس المادة ترتبط وظيفة اخرى تحدد تسلسل الاحداث التي وقعت في حين انتظرنا لدستورنا الجديد الباب الأمامي.

We were hoping and expecting that if we went and ordered the door on September 28th that we would still have it installed in time for Christmas. وكنا نأمل ونتوقع انه اذا ذهبنا وامرت الباب الثامن والعشرين من ايلول / سبتمبر ان كنا لا يزال يتعين عليه تركيبها في وقت لعيد الميلاد.

Well, to make a long story short, the door finally arrived (so we are told….we did not personally see it arrive) at the big box retailer’s store on December 7th. حسنا ، لتقديم القصة القصيره الطويلة ، وأخيرا وصلت الى الباب (حتى يقال لنا… نحن لا نرى انه توصل شخصيا) في المربع الكبير البائع مخزن فى السابع من ديسمبر. So, it should be in a few days before it’s installed, right? ذلك ، ينبغي ان يكون في غضون بضعة أيام معروضا للتركيب ، أليس كذلك؟

Well, we subsequently learned that once the door arrives at the retailer, they send a fax to the installer to advise of the door’s arrival and for the installer to proceed and schedule an installation date with the customer, us. حسنا ، ونحن في وقت لاحق علم انه بمجرد ان يصل الى الباب البائع ، وهي ارسال فاكس الى المثبت لتقديم المشوره للباب وصول لالمثبت والجدول الزمني المضي قدما في تثبيت موعد مع العميل ، ولنا. You didn’t think that the big box building supply retailer had their own employees actually do the installation, did you? انك لا يعتقد ان بناء العرض الكبيرة المربع البائع قد العاملين بها فعلا تركيب ، هل؟ We did. فعلنا. Well they don’t. بالاضافة الى أنهم لا. They contract the installation services out to a third party. انهم العقد تركيب الخدمات بها الى طرف ثالث. Apparently, this is a very, very common business practice, that being the use of independent contractors to perform the services that customers purchase from the big box building supply retailer. ويبدو ان هذا هو غاية مشتركة ممارسة الاعمال التجارية ، ان يتم استخدام مقاولين مستقلين لأداء الخدمات التي الزبائن من شراء مبنى كبير مربع العرض البائع.

We also learned that the retailer’s personnel involved with installations such as exterior doors wait at (at least) three business days before they will take the time to contact the installation company to confirm that an installation date has been scheduled. وعلمنا ايضا ان البائع للموظفين المعنيين مع منشآت مثل الابواب الانتظار في الخارج (على الاقل) قبل ثلاثة ايام عمل في انها ستتخذ الوقت الكافي للاتصال تركيب الشركة للتأكد من ان تثبيت موعد وقد تقرر.

Business day 1 goes by. يوم عمل 1 يذهب بها. Nothing. لا شيء. Now the weekend so these day’s don’t count حتى الان في عطلة نهاية الاسبوع هذه اليوم لا نعول

Business day 2 (really day 4) goes by. يوم عمل 2 (حقا يوم 4) يذهب بها. Nothing. لا شيء.

Out of frustration I now call installation company myself. الخروج من الاحباط اعطى الكلمه الآن لتركيب شركة نفسي. How did I know who to call? كيف أعرف لدعوة منظمة الصحة العالمية؟ Well the retailer told me when I asked. بالاضافة الى البائع قال لي عندما سألت.

I reached the installation scheduling person, Paul, on the first attempt. جئت الى تركيب جدولة شخص ، بول ، على المحاوله الاولى. Unfortunately by this time Paul proceeds to inform me that all of his installers are now either fully booked or on vacation between now and the end of the year! ومما يؤسف له ان مثل هذا الوقت من بول العائدات ليبلغني ان كل ما لديه من المركبون الان اما كليا او حجزها على اجازة من الان وحتى نهاية السنة!

So, the door which we initially went to the building supply retailer to order on Sept 12th, and then had to wait 2 weeks to get the measurements taken and then place the order on Sept 28th has taken so long to actually arrive at the retailer and with the additional wait time before Paul actually took action cannot be installed until after the New Year. ذلك ، والباب الذي نحن في البداية ذهبت الى بناء العرض الى البائع على النظام سبتمبر 12th ، ثم اضطرت للانتظار 2 اسابيع للحصول على قياسات وثم اخذ الامر على مكان سبتمبر 28th قد استغرق وقتا طويلا للتوصل الى الحقيقة والبائع مع انتظار الوقت الاضافي قبل ان بول انطلق العمل لا يمكن تركيبها حتى بعد السنة الجديدة.

We now, very disappointingly, have a scheduled installation date of January 8 as the earliest possible installation, where the installer will be at our house between 8 and 10 in the morning. ونحن الآن ، ومخيب للآمال جدا ، لديها من المقرر تركيب تاريخ 8 كانون الثاني / يناير كما في اقرب وقت ممكن التركيب ، حيث سيتم المثبت في بيتنا ما بين 8 و 10 في الصباح. The installation is expected to take between 2 and 4 hours (which rarely happens we are told). تركيب ومن المتوقع ان يستغرق ما بين 2 و 4 ساعات (التي نادرا ما يحدث يقال لنا). That is good as I have to run to the airport and catch a flight out of town the afternoon of January 8th so I feel good that I can be at home during the entire installation and take pictures for our site’s visitors. انه امر جيد كما قلت لاركض الى المطار والصيد تقوم برحلة الى خارج المدينة بعد ظهر يوم الثامن من كانون الثاني / يناير حتى اشعر بانني جيد يمكن في المنزل طوال تركيب وتأخذ صورا لزوار موقعنا. Paul said not to worry. وقال بول للا تقلق.

I should have. وارجو ان يكون.

Oh, remember Crystal, the customer service representative of the retailer? أوه ، نتذكر الكريستال ، وخدمة العملاء ممثل البائع؟ She call me back I believe it was the next day to tell me about the installation date. انها دعوة مني إلى الوراء وانا اعتقد انه كان في اليوم التالي لاخبرني عن تركيب التاريخ. I think she was surprised when I told her I was the one who got the date, not her company’s employees. اعتقد انها فوجئت عندما قلت لها انا كنت احد الذين حصلوا على التاريخ ، ليست هي الشركة الموظفين.
