Today’s tip is one of my pet peeves of contractors; more particularly, electricians. نصيحه اليوم هو واحد من بلادي مصادر المضايقات أو يضايق الحيوانات الاليفه من المقاولين ؛ أخص ، والكهربائيين.

Label the gosh darn on-off switches that are in the main electrical panel, will ya! العلامه فان غوش يا الاهي علي - من مفاتيح أن تتركز في قطاعات الكهرباء الفريق ، وسوف يا!

There is nothing more frustrating when one needs to turn the power off for a certain electrical outlet / light switch. ليس هناك ما هو اكثر احباط عندما يحتاج المرء الى تحويل السلطة من أجل معين الكهرباءيه منفذا / ضوء التبديل. You know what is going to happen, right? أنت تعرف ماذا سيحدث ، والحق؟

The light switch you need to turn off the power will be the one that is the furthest away from the electrical panel. ضوء تبديلك ضرورة ايقاف السلطة ستكون أحد ان هو الابعد عن الفريق الكهرباءيه. And, of course there is no label on any of the on-off switches which lead you to even guess which one of them provide the power for the area of the house containing the light switch. ، وبالطبع ليس هناك اي علامة على اي من المعنى - من مفاتيح التي تقودك الى تخمين حتى واحد منهم توفير الطاقة الكهرباءيه لمنطقة بيت تحتوي على ضوء التبديل.

Why are the on-off switches in the electrical panel never labeled? لماذا هي على اقلاع مفاتيح الكهرباءيه في الفريق ابدا المكتوب؟

Are electricians lazy? هي كهربائيين كسلان؟ Well, to be honest, there is something to that, IMO. حسنا ، ان نكون صادقين ، بل هنالك ما هو الى ان المنظمه البحرية الدولية. There are building codes and electrical codes and laws of physics which electricians need to adhere. وهناك قوانين البناء والكهرباءيه المدونات وقوانين الفيزياء التي كهربائيين الحاجة الى الالتزام. But, none of those codes indicates that the wiring or rewiring job is not finished until the switch box is properly and accurately labeled. ولكن أيا من تلك الرموز تدل على أن الأسلاك أو تجديد اسلاك الوظيفة لم تنته حتى مفتاح مربع بشكل صحيح ودقيق المكتوب. Or, do they? او ، هل؟

So, today’s waste of 1/2 an hour with a dozen trips up and down the stairs from one end of the house on the main floor to the electrical panel room at the opposite end of the house in the basement was not enjoyable. حتى اليوم النفايات من 1 / 2 ساعة مع اثنتي عشرة رحلة هبوطا وصعودا على الدرج واحدة من نهاية البيت على الطابق الرئيسي لغرفة الكهرباءيه الفريق في نهاية المقابلة للمنزل في قبو لم تكن ممتعه. Of course, not all contractors, electricians and the like are plain lazy and do just enough to get paid and then leave.  I am sure any electrical contractor you would use would never do that. بطبيعة الحال ، ليس جميع المتعاقدين ، والكهربائيين وشابة سهل كسوله وتفعل ما يكفي ليتقاضون اجورا وثم ليخرج. وانا واثق من اي الكهرباءيه المقاول أنك ستستخدم لن نفعل ذلك. I will always be your neighbour who encounters this situation, right? انا ستكون دائما جارك الذي لقاءات هذه الحاله ، أليس كذلك؟ :-)

And, if you are the home owner, for gosh sakes, when you actually do find the on-off switch on the electrical panel that is the one you want, label it yourself! واذا انت مالك المنزل ، لغوش الخواطر ، عندما كنت فعلا العثور على اقلاع مفتاح كهربائي على ان الفريق هو احد تريد ، وعلامة ذلك بنفسك! No, you will not remember the next time you need to find it again. لا ، انت لن تذكر في المرة القادمة التي تحتاج للبحث عنه مرة اخرى.
