In our previous article in this series we described the dilemma in our laundry room whereby we had only one wall switch, located by the door to the main hallway, for the ceiling light. في المادة السابقة في هذه السلسله ووصف المأزق الذي نحن في غرفة الغسيل حيث كانت لدينا تبديل واحد فقط الجدار ، التي تقع من قبل الباب أمام المدخل الرئيسي ، والحد الاقصى للضوء. We wanted a second wall switch to be installed by the door on the other end of the laundry room leading to the garage. اردنا الثانية التحول الى الجدار الذي يتم تركيب الباب على الطرف الآخر من الغرفة وغسل الملابس مما ادى الى المرآب.

And, with our renovation costs exceeding our budget we did not have the funds for an electrician to come in and do her / his handiwork. و، مع تجديد التكاليف التي تتجاوز ميزانيتنا لم تكن لدينا الاموال اللازمة لكهربائي لتأتي في والقيام بواجباته ، صاحب العمل اليدوي. Nor did we have the patience for breaking and repairing drywall to install a line from the ceiling light to the opposite wall. ولم لدينا الصبر لكسر واصلاح دريوال تركيب خط الضوء من السقف الى عكس ذلك الجدار.

We came across a product by Leviton Manufacturing Company, Inc. called the Anywhere Switch. ونحن صادف leviton منتج من قبل الشركة الصانعه ، شركة تسمى التبديل في اي مكان. This kit includes two light wall switches, one that is attached to the wires connected to the ceiling light with a wireless component and a second that can be installed anywhere within 50 feet that it not connected to any wires. هذه المجموعة تضم اثنين من حائط ضوئي ومفاتيح ، واحد هو ان تعلق على أسلاك ترتبط ضوء الحد الاقصى لاسلكي مع العنصر الثاني والتي يمكن تثبيتها في اي مكان في غضون 50 أقدام انه لا صلة بأي أسلاك.

The beauty is that the second switch can be placed anywhere within 50 feet of the first, at any height and not require any connection to wires. الجمال ان التحول الثانية يمكن وضعها في اي مكان في غضون 50 أقدام من الاولى ، اي في ذروه ولا تتطلب اي صلة لالاسلاك. Heck, when I was testing it I even held it in my hand as I walked to the laundry room from the family room and it still turned on the ceiling light. هيك ، عندما تم اختباره الاول حتى انه عقد في يدي كما مشيت الى غرفة الغسيل الاسرة من الغرفة وانها لا تزال تحول على ضوء السقف. What a wonderful device for the physically challenged members of our population who use a walker or wheelchair to use in a home. ما هي وسيلة راءعه لتحدى اعضاء جسديا من السكان من استخدام ووكر أو الى استخدام كرسي متحرك في الصفحه الاولى. This just opens up all kinds of flexibility and possibilities. هذا مجرد يفتح جميع انواع المرونة والامكانيات.

Now, the wall switch that is to be connected to the existing wires to replace the current wall switch (on the right in the picture below), contains on the back the wireless components as well as a thin black wire that is to hang down from the unit inside the wall. والآن ، فإن الجدار هو ان التحول الى ربط الاسلاك الحالية ليحل محل الجدار التبديل (على الحق في الصورة ادناه) ، وهي تتضمن ما على ظهر اللاسلكيه فضلا عن عناصر رقيقة من الاسلاك السوداء التي هي من اسفل لتعليق الوحدة داخل الجدار.

The second wall switch on the left in the above picture is what can be placed anywhere within 50 feet, not connected to any wires. الجدار التبديل الثاني على اليسار في الصورة أعلاه هو ما يمكن ان توضع في أي مكان في غضون 50 أقدام ، ولا ترتبط بأي أسلاك. You do need to install 4 AAA batteries which do not come with the package. هل انت بحاجة الى تثبيت 4 ااا البطاريات التي لا تأتي مع الحزمه. Notice in the picture below, the sleeves that come with the unit which are to contain a pair of AAA batteries each which are supposedly to reduce the interference between the wireless signal. أشعار في الصورة ادناه ، والأكمام التي تأتي مع الوحدة التي تحتوي على زوج من كل ااا البطاريات التي يفترض ان تدخل للحد من بين الاشارات اللاسلكيه.

Now, as far as the installation itself, it should be straight forward. الآن ، فيما يتعلق تنصيب نفسها ، ينبغي ان يكون مستقيم الى الامام. I mean, I am no electrician and learned a long time ago not to play with wires. يعني انا لا كهربائي وعلمت منذ وقت طويل وليس اللعب على الحبال. Yet, I have from time to time replace a wall light switch in other houses. ومع ذلك ، انا عندي من وقت لآخر يحل محل الجدار ضوء التحول في منازل اخرى. And when I talked to the sales associate in the store where I purchased this kit from I told him of my significant lack of experience in doing such things and he assured me that there was nothing unique about this product from an installation perspective compared to ‘regular’ or ‘traditional’ wall switches. وعندما تحدثت الى المنتسبين المبيعات فى المتجر حيث كنت اشتري مجموعة من هذا قلت له بلادي من عدم وجود خبرة كبيرة في عمل مثل هذه الاشياء وأكد لي أنه ليس هناك أي شيء عن هذا الصنف الفريد من تركيب منظور مقارنة العاديه لل 'او' التقليديه 'مفاتيح الجدار.

Unfortunately, as happens to everyone from time to time (and to me it seems with regular frequency), lack of product knowledge of multiple sales associates from the retail store, lack of proper installation instructions on the product packaging as well as within the installation instruction insert that came from the product packaging, and also lack of product information on the manufacturer’s own web site all conspired to turn what should have been a 1 hour job at the most, even for me, turned into a 5 hour marathon. وللأسف ، وكما يحدث لكل فرد من وقت لآخر (ويبدو لي مع تواتر العاديه) ، والافتقار الى المعرفه من المنتجات المتعددة الافراد المرتبطين به ، من مبيعات التجزءه تخزين السليم لعدم وجود ارشادات التثبيت على المنتج والتغليف وكذلك في اطار تعليمات التثبيت يضاف التي جاءت من المنتج والتغليف ، وأيضا عدم وجود معلومات عن المنتج المصنع الخاص بها على الشبكه تتآمر لتحويل كل ما كان يفترض ان يكون (أ) 1 ساعة عمل على الاكثر ، حتى بالنسبة لي ، تحولت الى 5 ساعة الماراثون.
