Home renovation, home improvement, extreme or (add your own adjective) home make over, bathroom remodeling, kitchen makeover ……call it what you will.Today we celebrate our 50th consecutive once-per-day posting on our own experiences with changing stuff around in the house we purchased in late June 2007.
We thought for a change of pace, since many of you were not here at the beginning…..and how could you be……we would highlight some of our favorite posts.
And so, without further adieu, here is a listing of our top 5 posting:
- Home Renovation Tip - Remove Bulkheads for More Cupboard Space One of our earlier tips, we like this one because it is something that we never would have thought about and no one mentioned to us until Jim, our kitchen designer did a walk through as part of the planning process. The new kitchen is in now and it was a great idea to visually open up that area of the house.
- Home Renovation Tip - Bay Windows, Eve Troughs and Melting Ice
It might seem ironic that this event is a favorite post of ours. However, it was obviously so unplanned that it had to be included in our anniversary posting. The story is not finished. We’ve been focusing recently on the bathrooms but we’ll get back to this event starting tomorrow. - Home Renovation Tip - Color / Colour Coordination - Critical
We like this one because of the dramatic change shown in the before and after pictures of our family room. The flooring, the fireplace, the window coverings, the ceiling, the walls…..lots of dramatic changed. And, the dramatic use of colour.
- Home Renovation Tip - Bathroom Makeover - Toilet
This is the 5th in a series of renovations to the existing en suite bathroom so it is usable for our physically challenged daughter. Lot’s of tips and pic’s in this series which you can easily follow by using the links at the end of each posting - Home Renovation Tip - Energy Audits
Lastly, we are including this one because the tip is so significant that we didn’t want you to miss out on the free money we missed out on.So, let’s not rest on our laurels. We’ll be around for another 50 once-per-day posting on our renovation experiences which will hopefully provide you with some useful tips for you to use.
